Constant OutputWeek 6

The theme for my weekly collage art will be based on the color my friend or family chooses that week.

This week, my friend chose navy blue…

The magazine clippings I’ve collected for this project

Since I already made an ocean collage for week 2, I decided to use navy blue clippings as the sky.

First, I created a monotone background using similar shades of dark blue. This process was challenging because some images were more vibrant and saturated than others.

I wanted to take a different approach this week. I planned to splattered paint on my collage to create stars. However, I didn’t have paint at home, so I improvised and used nail polish instead.

The nail polish didn’t splatter nicely, so I used a different method. I started off by using a toothpick to make fine dots.

Then, I used the nail polish brush to drip larger dots on the collage. After dragging out the dots with a toothpick, I smudged the nail polish using scrap paper.
